We change careers well into our 50s, we have children in our 40s and we start thinking about creating human habitats on Mars and the Moon. All of these societal changes demand more time.
The ultimate goal of Ecate is to remove the barrier that time imposes on us by creating an organo-robotic body that is unaffected by the restraints of time.
THE INCREMENTAL APPROACH:
As a proof of concept for this technology we are targeting the 5.4 million people in the United States who suffer from debilitating paralysis; we are building a bi-directional neural interface with customized nanopatterned electrodes that will restore sensory and motor communication between the site of injury and the central nervous system allowing paralyzed patients to regain control of their lost functions.
